While I’m not sure what I want to do during my time off, I know what I don’t want to do: sit around all day watching TV. I’ve been stuck at home the last couple days nursing a very sore throat and, unfortunately, parked in front of the boob tube. So far, I’ve learned that people that watch midday TV are deeply in dept with low credit scores, men who require erectile enhancement (they have similar options for women, too, evidently), women who need to upgrade their mascara and wrinkle reduction creams and everyone has the opportunity to make 1000’s a month sitting at home. Never in my life have I wanted some sort of DVR more than today.
But, more importantly, today has made me realize that I need to make the most of my time while unemployed. I know that it’s not possible to do something noteworthy every day, however, if I find myself parked on the couch day after day, then I have failed in my endeavor.

i don't get Plan C From Outer Space; the first half, that is.
i thought the whole point of your taking a year off was to experience living in new places - not riding a bicycle a really long distance.

There's more to this time off than just living in different cities. I also want it to be a period of self discovery and growth. I think the AIDS ride will be a very powerful and moving experience.

I self discovery myself each night around 11pm. It feels good.
