Hmm, just had another idea for a possible timeline:

Give notice at work around the middle/end of December.
Quit work sometime in January.
Hang out in San Diego until the end of March.
Go live in San Francisco until June. During my time in SD/SF, train for the AIDS Ride. Participate in the AIDS Ride at the beginning of June.
Hop a flight across the pond to England/Europe
Explore Europe for a month
Attend Lianna's wedding at the end of July
Head back to the US and try to get on a cruise ship. If no immediate employment, go to the next city on the list.
Work on a boat or live in a couple more cities.
Back to reality
